Liliana Moro is an italian visual artist born in Milan, where she lives and works. She graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts with Luciano Fabro. With other artists, she founded the exhibition space SpazioVia Lazzaro Palazzi in Milan (1989-93), where in 1990 she held her first solo exhibition. Moro has created environmental works, drawings, collages, sculptures, theater projects and sound installations giving a platform to a reality that is both raw and poetic. They represent territories of an individual experience -that of the artist but above all of the spectator- that invite us to go beyond what is visible. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, such as Documenta IX, Kassel (1992); Aperto XLV Biennale di Venezia (1993); Castello di Rivoli, Torino (1994); Moderna Museet, Stoccolma (1998); PS1 New York (1999); De Appel, Amsterdam (1999); MAMbo, Bologna (2011); MART Rovereto (2012); MAXXI, Roma (2016). Her solo shows were held at: Galleria Emi Fontana, Milano; MUHKA Antwerp (1996); Fondazione Ambrosetti Palazzolo Brescia (2004), Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Los Angeles (2007), Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan (2008), Fondazione Ratti, Como (2012); galleria Francesco Pantaleone Palermo/Milano.
